• How to reach:
• Via Nashik one has to go to Satana. There are buses to Tilawan from Satana. From Tilwan it takes 20 minutes to reach Wadi Chaulher. It’s the base village. There is a way descending from the fort by which we can reach the fort.

• Description:
• Chaulher is also known by various other names as Chaurgad and Chalheri. Chaulher and Salher are conceived as twins. Salher is the highest fort of Maharashtra. Likewise the other big fort in Bauglan region is Chaulher which have striking resemblance to Salher in shape.

• History:
• According to villagers in nearby villages there is a statue of Chaurangnath on the fort. Every year on Pithuri amawasya a fair is organized. There are various tanks called Moti take, Shevalya take, Hatyara take, Khekdya take inside the fort. The village previously ruled by a King called Gawali. You can also see a stable of that time. The ruler had various mansabdars administering his kingdom. One of those mansabdars governed this region afterwards.
